July 18th we were in Sudbury for a few days visiting a couple of my brothers. It was fortunate that all the grown up kids were home too! Extra bonus!!
Laurie’s daughters Tracy, and Karen & Erroll & their daughter Moira (2
yrs old) were all over at Laurie & Linda’s. It was such a great time
together.
Mike took us all out to dinner to celebrate Judy’s birthday. Their kids, Christie & Lauren (2 yrs old),
Kara & Mike (newlyweds) and Darren & Kristen were around as well. After dinner most came back to Judy & Mike’s. It was great for me to see Kara & Mike’s wedding video as it had taken place in Mexico. We had a short but very nice visit with everyone.
The little ones were the very cute, active and had all the attention. They are entertaining for sure…..loved it!!
Also were lucky enough to get in on a gathering at my sister-in-law Sharon & Greg’s with Sharon’s family whom I have not seen in a long time!
A former teacher friend Aili & her husband Ric met us for lunch. It has been many, many years since I have seen Aili. It is nice to reconnect!
Jul 21 we left Sudbury and headed over to Auburn for a visit with my friends Jan & Jim. Jim has a Spider motorcycle so Keith was happy!! They took us for a very enjoyable drive around Goderich. It has a really pretty shoreline. Haven’t seen Jan since 2000!!!
The next day we drove up to Southampton for a quick visit with Judy, from Vancouver, who is looking after her brother Bill who unfortunately is suffering with cancer. I have known him for a long time so it was good to see him. Also nice to be able to visit with Judy too. This is a very difficult time for sure. Such a horrid disease!
